BREAD Cards work just like a "pay-as-you-go" mobile phone. They can be topped up with cash at any PayPoint location. You can even have your employer pay your wages onto the card. See the topping up section of this website for more details.
Because the BREAD Card is a prepaid card, your spending limits are set by the amount of money you load onto the card. When you make a purchase with the card, the purchase amount is deducted from the card balance. You cannot spend any more than the current balance.
You can view your balance and transaction history 24 hours a day.
Topping up your BREAD Card couldn’t be easier. You can use the following methods:
1. At any PayPoint outlet
2. At any branch of our partner high street bank (NB coming soon)
3. Via BACS transfer or standing order (directly from a bank account)
Once loaded via paypoint, funds will be available for use on your BREAD Prepaid Maestro® card immediately.
